The Challenge
Realism involves more than detailed buildings. How can scale, materials, light, and spatial connections work together to make urban exploration feel coherent?
Approach
- Connect an IFS-inspired streetscape with underground shops, escalators, and an atrium.
- Keep an editable Blender scene and export GLB partitions for a browser walkthrough.
- Explore spatial continuity and visual expression before expanding into more complex game systems.
System Structure
- Authoring: Blender scenes, materials, and reconstruction scripts.
- Runtime: Three.js, local GLB partitions, collision and scene configuration.
- Interaction: keyboard movement, mouse look, shop navigation, and return to entrance.
- Migration exploration: Unreal asset preparation; editor import and runtime remain unverified.
Outcomes
- An editable city scene and a local browser walkthrough.
- An IFS-inspired exterior, street infrastructure, underground shops, and atrium connections.
- Practical exploration of asset organization and export from authoring to browser runtime.
